If we leave it out in the water all the time, the barnacles slowly take over, and its very hard , both on the skipper and the bottom of the dinghy, to scrape them off!!!

Here and there grow Garry oak, they are not very large, and are wind swept, but are part of the wild look on this island, I find them very beautiful.
