The lighthouse was built in 1836,and has since been restored to its original condition.

One of the streets,most of them run uphill, the houses are built on a slant, as you can see , the pavement is very rough, new potholes constantly forming. Water street, right downtown,is the oldest street in North America, as St.John’s is the oldest city in North America. The cities history goes back to 1583!!!!
