Roche Harbor to Sidney, B.C. Canada!!
We found the waterfront in Roche harbor, with the gardens and the hotel in the background, very beautiful. President Roosevelt stayed at Hotel De Haro. Three times a day , the little church plays lovely tunes with the bells, it sounded to me like being in Enkhuizen , in Holland. Good memories!!!! We left Roche Harbor on June 3, and headed to Sidney, Tsehum harbor.
Not many trees left standing on these islands, i do wonder if they would eventually grow back, reseed themselves……

I took a photo of the explanation about the kilns, it also tells about the huge amounts of wood that was used to fire these kilns, thats why the surrounding islands are so devoid of trees.

We ended up staying 2 nights, on June 1st. far away in Australia, a baby girl was born, our no;10 grandchild. Her name is Hannah Scarlet, so beautiful and she is gorgeous!! We are very proud grandparents.
