Still in Ocean Falls, its July 17,tuesday.

We are waiting for the plane to come in with our parcel, but in the meantime, the weather is great, blowing 20 knots , we have SV SNOWGOOSE rafted to us, we have been meeting them on and off, in several harbours. I wanted to tell about the B.C, ferry, that comes in here,in the middle of the night, at 1 am, it did so on monday, and i was up,watching it glide in,very slow, shining the big spotlights on the shore ahead, the ship looked very big, being at night, it shone the lights on the old, derelict hotel, with its dark windows, and it felt like i was watching a science fiction movie, a very strange feeling.  It didnt blast the horn, (good thing!!), just came in so very , very quiet. Then left again, a half hour later, on the way to Bella Coola.  Someone told us that we should be seeing the northern lights, but i havent seen them yet, might, when we go further north.   The weather is great for doing some laundry, its dry in one hour. Tomorrow we head out again, maybe back to Shearwater, its kind of on the way, plus SV THEA might be there.

Annie, the ships cat.

Annie has been living on board with us for the 9 years. She is 16 years old, and still doing very well. It really is her boat, everywhere are spots with pillows, just HER pillows, where she can hide, rest or think things out.  She is a mix breed, part persian, part ragdoll, part something else, lots of fur, which i brush (almost) every day,she is very loving, sometimes very demanding, she loves Bert, and he spoils her rotten. I wrote before, how she had no problem at all with the ocean swells, but i was a shade of green……When we travel somewhere without the boat, she comes with us too. We are proud to have her with us, and love her very much.
