She was restored in 2009, in Brentwood bay.
Actually, thats where we met Shendra for the first time!! She then told me she lived in Pender Harbour, and we had no idea where that was!!
I took photos of Balandra then again, it will give you a better idea how beautiful she is.
Hello you two…………..I am so grateful that Don remembered the name of your boat! I want to thank you both so much for coming to our rescue yesterday. We were aboard the Waterford, anchored off in Garrins’ Bay when we realized that our anchor was not releasing as it was bound up in a huge fishing net. I was on the helm and all of Don’s instructions were being blown away
in the wind. I saw our dinghy take off, and saw we were headed right for your boat and the rocks.
Thank God, the anchor came free at the same time I put the gear into reverse……There was no
time to thank you, no time for anything but keeping the boat off the rocks…………………..
I cannot tell you how much we appreciate your being there for us!! You are both amazing, in the way you live your life (as I see from your blog)………….We would love to get together with you.
We are pretty new to the sailing life and each day we learn something new.
I will give you my email address and perhaps we could arrange a way of getting together with you… Can we take you for dinner or lunch as a way of a small thank you and also as a way to
get to know the wonderful people you are!!
thank you and thank you.
