We went through the Greene Point Rapids with no trouble at all, timed it just right, amazing, the amount of water that flows through here, back and forth, several times per day, such power!!! Even though we went through at slack, the current still took Curtsy, and just about spun her around 360 degrees, but with it being high tide, this was no problem, just kind of scary and exiting!!! Gillard Passage was no problem, by this time, the slack was in full swing, so we went straight into Big Bay. There is no one at Big Bay, we did call in and a local lady answered and just said, tie up where ever you want! There is one big danger there, on these docks, they have stretched fishing line, all along the docks, about 6″ above the rail, here and there is a little , tiny red ribbon, but in a lot of places they are worn away. Bert brought the boat in, (see previous experience of mine!!), but my boot got caught in the line, people are going to get hurt here, i really felt like cutting it all away, its purpose is to keep the birds off, that part works, anyway, we draped towels over them all, where Curtsy was docked. When we left the next day , Bert had his shoe stuck behind it too, you cannot see this line, so every one, if you go there, watch out for this hazard!!!!
We left at 3.30 in the afternoon, Slack again, to go through Yuculta rapids, tide turning in our favour, so we flew through there, even at slack.
