Meyers Chuck…again!!!

We love this little place, and wanted to go there again, the weather was beautiful, so we anchored out in the middle of the small bay. We went on shore tat afternoon and found that we could walk all along the whole bay, past all the houses, and beautiful gardens, funky little cottages, and artwork everywhere. We visited the art gallery, where Carol, a lady that lives close by came to open up for us.  Someone there makes the most beautiful baskets, i forgot her name, but they are a work of art, we bought a hancrafted small tree, for ( eventually) Christmas!!!  ( its very small!!!).    She told us to walk along the whole bay, at one end the path comes out at the beach, and you can walk into the forest, and keep on going, Meyers Chuck is part of the mainland,it is on a peninsula.  I would live here if i could, i love the fact of no cars, love the good climate too, they dont get nearly the rain as Ketchikan or Wrangell get, the bad weather passes over them. We tried to leave the next morning, but it was blowing 25 knots NW, and the waves were building, very uncomfortable ride, so we turned back, tied to the dock, (its free), and stayed. Sun was out again, and we had a splendid day!!!!!
